Prima Grout & Tile Solutions Sdn Bhd focuses on two trades: grout systems and tile installation. Every job follows the same method, from the first inspection to handover.
Service 01 · Grouting
Grout holds the finish together.
When grout fails, water gets in, stains set and tiles start to loosen. We install new grout systems and restore old ones, for homes and commercial spaces.
Regrouting & restoration
Stained, cracked or crumbling grout is raked out and replaced. Your tiles stay, the joints are renewed.
Wet-area grouting
Bathrooms, kitchens, balconies and pool decks, finished with systems made to resist water and mould.
Custom colour matching
Grout colours weighed out to a saved formula, to suit your tile or match an existing shade.

Technical skills
What goes into a Prima grout joint.
The difference between grout that lasts and grout that fails is mostly preparation. These are the steps we do not skip.
- Inspection
Tiles are tapped for hollow spots and joints checked for cracks, gaps and moisture before we quote a system.
- Joint preparation
Old grout is raked out along the full joint and the dust is cleared, so new grout bonds to clean, sound edges.
- System selection
Polyurea, hydrogenated epoxy or organosilicon, chosen by room: wet or dry, indoor or outdoor, foot traffic and sunlight.
- Colour by weight
Custom pigments are weighed on a digital scale against a saved formula, so a later batch matches the first.
- Fill & tool
Joints are filled full, then tooled to one consistent profile. Excess is cleaned off the tile face before it cures.
- Curing & handover
You are told how long to keep the area dry and off-limits, and how to clean it afterwards.

We set out, lay and level floor and wall tiles, then grout them with the same systems and standards our grouting work is known for. One team, one standard, from bare floor to finished joint.

Homes, showrooms and commercial spaces, from standard sizes to large-format tiles.
Large-format tiles & slabs
Big tiles need a flat base, full adhesive contact and careful handling. We plan for all three.
Re-tiling & hollow tile repair
Hollow or cracked tiles are lifted and re-laid on a sound bed, and the joints regrouted to match.
Bathrooms & wet areas
Tiled with the right fall to the floor trap and clean cuts around every fitting.
Technical skills
How we lay tile.
Most tile problems, like hollow spots, uneven edges and cracked corners, are decided before the first tile goes down.
- Substrate check
The floor or wall is checked for level, soundness and moisture first. Hollow areas are found by tapping.
- Set-out
The layout is planned from the room's centre lines, so edge cuts are even and joints line up through doorways.
- Adhesive contact
Notched trowel on the base and back-buttering on large tiles, to avoid voids that later sound hollow or crack.
- Flush edges
Tile levelling clips hold neighbouring edges flush while the adhesive sets.
- Movement joints
Left at the perimeter and across large areas, so tiles have room to move with Malaysian heat and humidity.
- Cut-outs
Floor traps, pipes and fittings are cut around precisely, not patched with grout.
- Grouting
Finished with the same grout systems and colour matching as our grouting projects.

Do I need to change my tiles to fix stained or cracked grout?
Usually not. If the tiles are sound, we rake out the old grout and regrout. If some tiles are hollow or cracked, we will show you which ones and recommend re-laying them.
Which grout system should I choose?
It depends on the room. Wet areas, outdoor areas and busy floors each need different properties. We recommend a system after seeing the site, and explain why.
How long before I can use the area again?
Curing time depends on the grout system and the conditions on the day. Before we start, we tell you how long to keep the area dry and off-limits.
Do you work outside the Klang Valley?
Yes. We have completed projects in all four regions, including Penang, Ipoh, Johor Bahru, Muar, Melaka, Seremban and Pahang.
Can you do both the tiling and the grouting?
Yes. Tiling is now a core Prima service, so one team can lay the tiles and finish the joints to the same standard.
